Veuve Clicquot

Champagne

In 1805, Madame Clicquot found herself a widow at a remarkably young age. Just 27, she took the reins of the Champagne House, founded in 1772 by her late husband’s family, with exceptional talent and elegance. Inspired by her creative vision, her unwavering pursuit of excellence, and her spirit of innovation, she went on to create the very first vintage champagne (1810), the ingenious riddling table (1816), and the inaugural blended rosé champagne (1818).

Champagne, at its heart, is a Grand Vin. The illustrious history of the House of Veuve Clicquot is punctuated by its Grand Vins, each meticulously crafted to uphold the exacting standards of quality that were Madame Clicquot's obsession. Remaining steadfast to this legacy, the House adheres to its motto: "Only one quality, the finest." This commitment to unparalleled quality is safeguarded by a lineage of merely 10 Cellar Masters, who ensure the enduring continuity of a distinct style, a harmonious blend of power and complexity.
