Champagne

The House was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary nonconformist imbued with an uncompromising philosophy. His dream was to craft the finest Champagne possible every year, irrespective of annual climatic variations. Joseph Krug achieved his dream by paying meticulous attention to the character of the vineyard, respecting the individuality of each parcel and its wine, and by establishing a vast library of reserve wines from different vintages.

Driven by a traditional approach to Champagne production, he resolved to transcend the very notion of vintage in order to create, each year, the most generous expression of Champagne. Thus, he established a House where all Champagnes would be of an equally distinguished calibre.

Since then, six generations of the Krug family have pursued this dream, enriching the founder's vision and savoir-faire for the House.
